Promoting Volunteering Activities in Armenia

YCDI believes that volunteerism is a highly important element for fighting the poverty, stable development, public health, disaster prevention, quick response to cataclysms and social integration as well as for any strategy directed to overcoming social isolation and discrimination in a country. Of course, the volunteering activities as the best means for increasing the recourses, improving the quality of the life and solution of public issues needs specific social and state strategic approaches.

Based on the mentioned one of the YCDI’s primary objectives is the provision of support in the promotion of volunteering activities in Armenia, for which we will continue making efforts by jointly acting with those Armenian NGOs, in cooperation with which and by initiative of the Professionals For Civil Society NGO the draft Law on Volunteering Activities has been submitted to the Ministry of Labor and Social Issues for the further development. We will also take steps directed to wider public involvement into the volunteering activities having aim to solve issues of public nature.

If you are interested in having your contribution into the promotion of volunteering activities in Armenia, we will be happy to collaborate with you.
